This large space (roughly 1900 square feet) functions as a social hall for a wide variety of purposes. It is located on the middle floor of our three-level building, but is accessible by a modern (2017) elevator serving all levels. The Lower Assembly Hall has a full commercial kitchen and a small raised stage.
Social Hall Use
Among other uses, the hall is suitable for:
- Seated dinners or luncheons with up to 200 guests
- Receptions or parties with up to 300 guests with limited seating and tables
- Presentations or meetings with up to 350 attendees
Other Features
A speaker’s podium and a sound system with a ten-channel mixing console are available. New gender-neutral restrooms are located on this floor. The north side wall consists of glass windows and doors which open on to a 1,000 sq. ft. patio with a view overlooking downtown Minneapolis and the Walker Art Center.
A new children’s playground may be used with proper supervision.
